This two-and-a-half-day workshop has been called “our most effective tool for transformation around racial justice and inclusion” within the Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA). Our facilitators, Dr. Leon Spencer and Latricia (Pat) Callair, LCSW, will guide us through the cultural history and relevant vocabulary, as well as opportunities for evolving self-awareness.
Our hope is the transformation of ourselves, our congregation, and the wider circles of our involvement, in ways that support dismantling racism. Everyone is somewhere on a path of learning about racism and working to dismantle it. All are teachers and learners. This will be a weekend where we listen carefully to each other and help each other deal with conflict, and above all build community.
