Our Unitarian Universalist Association is a member of the THRIVE Agenda which promotes climate, care, jobs, and justice priorities in the infrastructure/reconciliation bills. Our 2006 Statement of Conscience calls us to “justice by seeking opportunities for public witness for environmental justice, including joining interfaith and public events promoting a just response to climate change.” One opportunity coming up is a Rally For Climate, Jobs, & Justice at noon on Thursday, August 19, sponsored by NYRenews and the Green New Deal Network. You can sign up in advance or just show up at the Federal Building downtown, 100 State Street. in Rochester. Look for other First Unitarian members that will be there.
