Peace Advocates: Events

Bring Them Home Vigils
Witness against the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan at our church will take place on the second Tuesday of each month from 4:30 to 5:30 PM. Come and leave as it fits your schedule. The goal is to bring an awareness of the war into our daily lives, call for our troops to come home and witness for another approach to healing in Iraq and Afghanistan.

We encourage the wider community to hold vigils in front of their places of worship, or work, or neighborhood, etc. – so that vigils will be all across the greater Rochester area at the same times each month. Let us know if your faith community will work with us in this effort.

Others have already joined us in scheduling vigils. We welcome friends to join First Unitarians at our vigils or to join in one of the other listed vigils; signs will be provided.
