Journey Groups

It’s about walking together through each of our life journeys. All walks of life, all styles, all places, as one.

Soul Matters Groups

Contact: Rev. Tina Simson
tsimson@rochesterunitarian.org

With over twenty Soul Matters groups running and more forming, these groups are a core component of our spiritual development ministry. Participants meet once a month (some twice) in groups of up to 12, with a trained facilitator. Topics are built around the monthly worship themes, making these groups a great way to explore these themes in more depth. Monthly spiritual exercises and readings help us to wake up to reconnect with ourselves and the gifts and needs of the world.  Group members are asked to commit to regular attendance as community building and trust are major goals.  To participate in Soul Matters, please complete Starting Point.

This Soul Matters group is a covenanted writing circle that provides a safe environment for finding your inner voice and sharing it through the written word (journal entry, story, poetry, memoir, etc.). The focus is learning more about ourselves and growing closer to each other by spinning the stories of our lives into gold on the page.
